This Privacy Policy explains how Orbyt ("Orbyt", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our production operating system for game studios (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

• Account information — your name, email address, and profile picture, either entered directly during email/password signup or provided by a third-party sign-in provider (Google or Microsoft) when you choose to authenticate that way.
• Studio and production data — project, sprint, roadmap, and release information you or your team enter into the Service.
• Usage data — basic technical information such as log-in timestamps and device/browser type, used to keep the Service secure and reliable.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and authenticate your account and keep you signed in securely.
• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its features.
• To display your name, email, and avatar in the product (for example, in the profile menu).
• To communicate with you about your account or important Service updates.
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, or security incidents.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Authentication & Third-Party Sign-In

Orbyt uses Supabase Auth to manage authentication. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, that provider shares your basic profile information (name, email address, and profile photo) with us, in accordance with their own privacy policies and the permissions you grant during sign-in. We never see or store your password for these providers. If you sign up with email and password instead, your password is hashed and stored securely by Supabase Auth — Orbyt never stores or has access to it in plain text.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using Supabase, which provides encryption in transit and at rest. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies & Session Data

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your session between visits. These cookies are required for the Service to function and are not used for third-party advertising.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account and production data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us using the details below; we will process such requests within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business use by production teams and studios and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
